Gail Kelly has left the building!
After eight huge and challenging years as our intrepid leader Gail Kelly has decided to move on. Gail has been an inspiring and dedicated champion of the circus arts, and a tireless advocate for ACAPTA during her time with us and we wish her the very best. I will personally miss Gail’s stylish and commanding presence, and her strongly voiced opinions about art and the making of it which have guided me for so long in my own work.
… and so has Alex Talamo
Alex has left us to pursue further her work in the theatre with The DIG Collective. Look out for her, she’s one of the smartest young theatre makers around. Good luck, and thanks for your great work in the last two years from me and all of the Board!
Welcome Kat Gill!
ACAPTA is pleased to announce the appointment of our Interim Administrator the fabulous Kat Gill. Kat was a founding member of My Darling Patricia and describes herself as a creative communicator. Kat will have her hands on the controls at ACAPTA central, in its new home in Collingwood, until end of June 2016 which is when we expect to launch the new Strategic Plan. This plan has been recently developed incorporating feedback from members for which I am very grateful. It will be presented to the membership at the Annual General Meeting.
Annual General Meeting – May 28
The ACAPTA AGM will be held at Circus Oz, 50 Perry St. Collingwood VIC on Saturday 28th May, 2016 at 2pm. All members are welcome to attend! Save the date and come on down to hear about ACAPTA’s brand new direction.
ACAPTA is looking for up to five new Board members to help lead us into the next phase of operations. We are looking for people passionate about circus and skilled in Business Development and Financial Management with or without circus experience. Get in touch if you are, or know anyone who is interested.
