Westside Circusis a vibrant and growing community arts organisation creating circus, performance, physical theatre, music and leadership opportunities for young people.
Our core aim is to make a difference for young people between the ages of 3 and 25 from diverse social, and cultural backgrounds to access exciting and challenging programs which build confidence, promote personal wellbeing and create positive relationships both with peers and the community.
Westside Circus produces one to two public performances per year as well as delivering funded programs with a focus on at risk and newly arrrived young people.

Behind the Wall Youth Troupe - to perform at conferences and events
Public Program - weekly circus classes for 3 year olds through to adults &
Community Program - tailored worshops for schools, not-for-profits and youth groups.
1996 Westside Circus is created by Debby Maziarz as part of a Moonee Valley City Council youth program
1997 First large-scale performance ‘Fazed Out’with 25 young women and a live band performing to an audience of 700.
2002 Westside Circus becomes an incorporated association
2003 Show The Albatross blows the audience away at the Melbourne Fringe
2004 Westside Circus moves into its very own space in inner city Melbourne
2005 Westside Circus begins its Public Program for kids through to adults
2006 Last public show with artistic duo of Debby Maziarz & Andrea Ousley
2007 Winner of the City of Yarra Community Service and of the Victorian Children Communities Awards
2009 Westside Community Program offers 6,875 workshop places – with a focus on at risk youth and newly arrived young people
2010 Founder Debby Maziarz resigns and Lena Cirillo takes up the baton
