The Women’s Circus is a not-for-profit, community arts organisation that presents innovative, high quality circus performances, offers a diverse training and development program and provides ground-breaking community outreach.
Established in 1991, the Women’s Circus continues to offer performance and development opportunities for women in the performing arts. Our Training Program offers a range of courses across all skill levels in contemporary circus, physical theatre and production skills.
Our performance repertoire ranges from large scale shows, to intimate events and festival roving.
Our Public Outreach Program develops tailor made programs within a community cultural development approach. We aim to cross boundaries and support people from all backgrounds to have a creative voice. Our partnerships with the local community in the West and across women’s and community services has given us the wonderful opportunity to work with newly arrived and refugee young people and young women without access to the arts.
Our work is made possible with the support from local and state governments and the generous support of public donations.
