Matt has been working professionally for over 20 years as a Circus Acrobat/actor/stuntman/singer/musician and Director. He has performed with companies such as Circus Oz, Arena Theatre, Malthouse Theatre, Dislocate, Rock’n’Roll Circus, Circus Monoxide, Legs on the Wall and many more. He has extensive experience in touring nationally and internationally; New York, London, Munich, Vienna, Seoul, Barcelona (and Mt. Isa) Most recently he toured as stunt double for Barry Humphries’ Farewell performance ‘Eat, Pray, Laugh’ and also as the lead role in ‘The Republic of the Trees’, performed for the Castlemaine State Festival.
As well as teaching performance and coordinating many projects at the National Institute of Circus Arts, he also directed several student productions.
Over the years, Matt has climbed, fallen, swung, tumbled, flown, juggled and crashed his way through his career. Highlights include Bungee jumping off the Sydney Opera House on NYE 2000 and being shot out of a cannon over the heads of the audience in the New Victory Theatre in New York.
He is 46 years old and lives in Melbourne with his wife and 2 daughters.
