A show for audiences of all ages

Circus Oz sizzles back with their reconstructed 2013 show: Cranked Up. This is a production that hurls the 2012 show, to new heights – it has been honed, road-hardened, made tight and allowed to play hilariously fast and loose. Hot to crank into a tour of Arnhem Land, regional Australia, Perth, Darwin, Sydney and on to USA early in 2014.

Expect two hours of non-stop action as the dare-devil mob at Circus Oz bandy about their trademark irreverent spirit. Revel in seeing some of the company’s much-loved characters again and thrill at some daring new feats as Mark Sheppard steps into the shoes of roving Indigenous provocateur destined to disrupt Circus Oz’s ongoing brand of ridiculous tomfoolery that leaves audiences howling for more. All cranked out to the pounding rock score of the Circus Oz live band.

Credited with revitalising a traditional artform in a uniquely Australian way, Circus Oz is a rock ‘n’ roll, animal-free circus that has influenced the development of circus arts around the world since its foundation in 1978 – and this year turns 35!

… no-bullshit Australian culture, which grabs our audience by the throat and makes us cheer the daredevils on, laugh, and be made aware of social justice all at once. This is the art of Circus Oz …” Canberra Critics Circle (October 2012)

A blend of high energy acrobatics, juggling, magic, exuberant clowning and all around derring-do, accompanied by a pounding rock score.” New York Post (December 2012)
