Statement by: Cirque du Soleil:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, unfortunately Gil Favreau from Cirque du Soleil will not be unable to attend the Circus Futures Forum in Melbourne.

Cirque du Soleil believes in the importance of multi-stakeholder gatherings for the development of circus arts – and of course social circus – on the international stage.

In this light, we consider the Circus Futures Forum to be a privileged moment for learning and exchanges, and are very much looking forward to hearing about the results and highlights of the many sessions and discussions to be held.

More than ever, Cirque du Soleil is interested in contributing to the advancement of social circus in Australia. We particularly trust that the important number of organizations involved in social circus, as well as the undeniable quality of its practitioners, is a definite guarantee of success for the future.

As a special note, we want to salute the tremendous work accomplished by the ACAPTA for the organization of the Circus Futures Forum, and wish all attendees an inspiring time at the Melbourne Festival!
