Weather [A work-in-progress showing]
Weather - two women, a bear, and a lot of air
Using circus inspired movement and suspended domestic settings Weather creates a magical and surreal performance world. One woman with her head lost in the clouds, dreams of the visitor she both fears and desires. The other woman has bureaucratized herself into a perpetual office, head stuck in her filing cabinet, determined to document her every thought and keep chaos at bay. The bottom has dropped out of their worlds leaving them suspended in their private isolation, floating, subject to the whims of atmospheric changes.
“A change in the weather is sufficient to recreate the world and ourselves.”
Marcel Proust
Weather is being created by director, Celia White, performers Michelle Grant-Iramu, Olivia Porter and rigger Helen Clifford. Kellie Vella has contributed ideas, time and talent to the creative development.
