The 2011 Melbourne Fringe Festival Awards were announced last month, celebrating and acknowledging the diversity, professionalism and exceptional quality of work in this year’s Festival.

We, here at ACAPTA were very excited to award Tilly Cobham-Hervey, [Gravity and Other Myths - Freefall ] the Best Emerging Circus Performer which our Chairperson, Sue Broadway presented on the night. Tilly will receive ACAPTA membership for 1 year and participation in an ACAPTA presented master class
Freefall, the show in which Tilly performed was also awarded Best Circus.

No Such Thing as Normal was awarded Original New Circus, supported by Circus Oz Award – presented by Antonella Casella. Company members will receive two weeks training/mentorship at Circus Oz with Artistic Director, Mike Finch
